HIGHLAND SPRING NURSING HOME CHRISTMAS CAROLING - 12/18/25

We brought back a tradition from the past and went Christmas Caroling at Highland Spring nursing home in Fort Thomas! We strolled along the halls, into dining areas and residents' rooms (when invited), bringing the nostalgic sounds of Christmas to their residents. Mamy smiles and happy tears were shared as several folks sang along. It was truly a special night!

BE CONCERNED CHRISTMAS STORE AND FOOD PANTRY - 12/9/25

For the second year in a row, we volunteered at The Be Concerned Christmas Store and Food Pantry to help families in need select free Christmas gifts for their kids or food for their families for the holidays. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring joy to families who otherwise might not be able to provide Christmas gifts for their kids or put food on the table. This is a wonderful organization who does so much for our community. It was a privilege to help them!

MEALS ON WHEELS SNACK PACKING AND BIRTHDAY PREP - 11/25/25

Meals on Wheels is a wonderful organization that has been serving homebound seniors and people with disabilities for over 70 years. Our local chapter serves 4,600 meals a day in 13 counties, 5 days a week! We provided a critical service to them by helping to prepare their snack boxes and hand-decorating Birthday Bags that go out monthly. We also received handmade cards from Ms. Megan Jones' class at Woodfill Elementary in Ft Thomas, wishing the elders a Happy Thanksgiving, which were sure to pleasantly surprise the recipients of these tasty snacks!

THE SEASONS NURSING HOME CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATING - 11/24/25

The Seasons in Alexandria Nursing Home reached out to us, looking for help with their Christmas decorating. What a wonderful opportunity to tap into our creative, festive sides to spread Christmas cheer to the elderly community, many of whom are often lonely and sad this time of year. Donned in our Christmas colors and Santa hats, we got the Christmas spirit going while decorating Christmas trees and visiting with the residents.  They were very appreciative!

MANNEQUIN BOUTIQUE SORT/ORGANIZE DONATIONS - 11/20/25

Mannequin Boutique's sole purpose is to provide funds to small charities whose work involves the economically challenged. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their vintage, designer and fun men's/women's clothing which has been received by donations goes to helping others! We spent 2 hours helping them sort/organize their donations and then we enjoyed a private "after hours" open house, with wine, hors d'oeuvres, and the opportunity to purchase beautiful clothing at a fraction of its original cost, just in time for the holidays. Such a fun night!

In December they served approximately 3,000 families. We donated nonperishables, hygiene items, new books and toys for Christmas. We scheduled 2 days to help people pick out Christmas gifts from the Annual Christmas store, and assisted with shopping in the food pantry, restocking shelves when necessary. It was a privilege to bring Christmas cheer to the needy families in our community and the war, welcoming folks at Be Concerned couldn't have been more gracious!
